dance with me
while driving to ateneo or while driving home
several things happen while i drive everyday to ateneo or when i head home. real things. things that people in our stature don't really see [or don't really notice] if we don't look hard enough. i'd like to note them down here as i believe i will use some of them to inspire my next entries. so don't be surprised to see some of them in the future. yeah. all these really happened. i just regret having no way to have recorded any of this.
i saw a calesa.
i saw the statue of St. Ignatius with a bird on its forehead in the morning. in the afternoon, going home, i saw some dried up white stuff where the bird was earlier.
i saw several kids on a tricycle about 8-10 years old corrupting a very popular Filipino Christmas Carol. "Pak yu, pak yu, ang babait ninyo, pak yu!" and the traffic wasn't moving so i believe they were addressing it to me.
i saw small children even younger on Crossing, Edsa selling cigarettes to the motorists.
i saw a man get out of a car after being cut off by a taxi driver. he started intensely banging on the hood of the taxi. [take note: this was right after the flyover on Edsa over Ortigas heading to Cubao.]
i saw teenagers sniffing rugby.
i saw a chicken actually crossing the road, blocking the passage of a passenger van.
i saw a man slip on the wet sidewalk and fall flat on his back.
i saw highschool kids from LSGH right outside their school smoking and looking "thuggin"
i saw a kid from a school service van who stuck his tongue out at me. i did a face as well and then he just smiled.
**
after all this, [there's more! i know it! i just can't remember] you know what i saw?
i saw the real world.
i saw God.
